Ahmet TUNCAY

He was born in 1934 in Buldan and completed his primary education in Merkez Dört Eylül Primary School. Due to the economic difficulties, he could not continue secondary school and started the ancestor job, waving. He completed his military service in Istanbul between the years 1954 – 1956. He improved in his job after returning. Ahmet Tuncay is a businessman loving his job and always working determinedly. He is known as a helpful, prudent and good person in Denizli and surroundings. He believes that everything is done by education and teaching and he puts emphasis on education and teaching.

Our founder, Ahmet Tuncay was invited by the President of that time to Çankaya Palace many times and awarded by virtue of his achievements. He was deemed in worthy of various awards from the President to the village headmen. He obtained countless tax records in his business life.

His studies related to textile and weaving has become source for thesis in the universities. Carrying out many projects as an education volunteer as well as a successful industrialist, Ahmet Tuncay is the first person performing canvas production in Turkey.

In 1970, he established the second Association for the Protection of Nature in Turkey. Furthermore, he took charge in the establishment stage of Pamukkale University and Tema Association. He is still taking charge in Ahmet and Hatice Tuncay Development Association of Educational Services.
